"Brown Skin Girl" by Kendall Jarrett

Who is this girl staring back at Me

Who is She

Growing in Age, learning something new everyday

Her soul, old but bright she shines her own light

Who Is She

Bare Skin, dark brown eyes, radiant smile

Through any race , She runs the mile

Through the race, running at her own pace

Who Is She

Passion to things she truly loves

Her dedication keeps her strong

Although the world is dark and wicked

Her beautiful light is always depicted

Who is She

True art, they call her when she walks with her head high

You can’t seem to look past her when she’s passing by

Although her world is dark and dim and doesn’t treat her with the heart within

She still keeps a smile on her face, even when she loses the race

As she gets older, her knowledge seems to expand

Accept her into society , just give her a chance

One mistake could change her entire life

But one blessing could lift her to new heights

She is destined for greatness

She will succeed

Looking at herself in the mirror with the passion in her eyes

She will succeed she will do fine

That Brown Skin Girl will fly
